How we operate: eligibility and acceptable use
Last updated:
1. Who we are
Diamond Pay is a brand of Double Diamond Serviços de Tecnologia Ltda. (CNPJ 43.634.190/0001-01), São Paulo, SP, Brazil. We operate as a payment facilitator (“subcredenciadora”) under acquirers and payment institutions authorized by the Central Bank of Brazil. We are not a bank, not an acquirer and not a payment institution.
We do not hold or move merchants’ funds. The acquirer settles each merchant’s share of every transaction directly into an account in the merchant’s own name, in Brazil.
2. Who can sell with Diamond Pay
Independent merchants domiciled in Brazil, registered under a CNPJ or a CPF, selling in BRL through our storefront, hosted checkout, payment links or API.
We serve businesses that sell online in Brazil: digital products — courses, e-books, mentoring, memberships and software — and businesses selling their own goods and services through their online store, including local commerce.
International companies are welcome through their Brazilian entity: the Brazilian company is the merchant, holds the account and signs the agreement. We do not onboard merchants established outside Brazil and we do not settle outside Brazil.
3. What we check before the first sale
Company registration (CNPJ) or CPF with an identity document; the identity of owners and legal representatives; proof of address; a bank account in the merchant’s own name; a review of the website, products and prices; and screening against restricted categories and sanctions lists.
Each approved merchant is registered as a sub-merchant with the acquirer, under its own merchant category code (MCC), legal name, tax ID and descriptor. Your trade name appears on the checkout and on your customer’s card statement.
4. What we do not accept
We do not onboard, and will terminate, merchants selling: adult content or services; gambling, betting or lotteries; unlicensed financial products, investment schemes or credit; trading signals and “guaranteed return” offers; multi-level marketing and get-rich-quick programs; academic paper or essay writing; hacking, cracking or tools to bypass security measures; counterfeit or replica goods; copyrighted material without authorization; crypto-assets and virtual currencies (buying, selling, exchange or custody); accepting payments on behalf of third parties (payment facilitators, aggregators or resellers of payment services); weapons, ammunition and illegal drugs; and anything restricted by the card networks, by the wallet providers whose marks appear on our checkout, or by Brazilian law.
5. Your customers’ rights
Online purchases in Brazil can be canceled within 7 days of delivery or signature, with a full refund, under article 49 of the Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor). Refunds go back by the original payment method.
Subscriptions show the price, the billing period and how to cancel before the first charge, and can be canceled at any time. Disputes and chargebacks follow the card networks’ rules.
6. Checkout and card data
Our hosted checkout shows the merchant’s trade name and accepts Pix, boleto, cards and digital wallets. In wallet payments, the card number isn’t exposed to the page.
Sending card data directly to the API is restricted to merchants with validated PCI DSS compliance and explicit enablement on their account. The default is the hosted checkout or tokenization.
